All India Movement for Seva (AIM for
Seva) is proud to host Shanti - A Journey of Peace in
Houston TX.
The Indian community comes together
in choir for the first time in the history of Houston.
Having worked through a series of musical sessions over a
six month period, this community choir will sing in unison
with the United Nations Association International Choir and
bring the musical score of Shanti to life. This is a
historic occasion bringing together a highly diverse
community of singers from all walks of life, all based in
the Greater Houston Area.
Excitement is building in the air as
the two choruses are beginning to rehearse the music
together.
Shanti is being performed as a
fund-raiser for AIM for Seva - an organization committed to
service and sustainable development in India. AIM is founded
by the visionary spiritual leader Swami Dayananda Saraswati
and has empowered many communities all over India through
education.
DO NOT MISS this concert. It is a one
of a kind historic event. Shanti made history in Cincinnati
OH in 2004 and in 2006 and in Bethlehem PA in 2006. It is
now all set to bring a new spark to the community art scene
in Houston TX.
